Complete recovery takes between 4 – 8 weeks, depending on your specific circumstances and type of reconstructive procedure. Most of our patients are able to return to some light activity after 1 – 2 weeks. Scarring should begin to fade between 6 – 12 months.
Depending on your circumstances, an insurance policy may completely or partially cover the costs of your reconstructive procedure. Additional cosmetic procedures may also influence the total costs. If your situation isn’t covered, the average cost of this procedure ranges from $3,000 to $9,000.
